FAULTY - SOLD AS SPARES AND REPAIR. VARIOUS FAULTS.

Wheel calibration does not work. Wheel values should show min and max numbers, they don’t - the values jump around constantly. It’s also ghost editing - a common problem on Quasimidi equipment that’s not been used in a while. The fix is to take synth apart, clean all pots/wheels and buttons with switch cleaner. If that fails, find and replace all faulty pots, switches, wheels, etc.

Details

The 49-key velocity-sensitive keyboard is equipped with a compact LCD screen (2x16 characters) featuring backlighting, alongside two wheels dedicated to modulation and pitch bending. The main interface includes 22 real-time controls, a microphone gain adjustment, 70 illuminated touch switches, two wheels (one for pitch-bend and one fully customizable modulation wheel), and a VALUE/TEMPO dial for precise adjustments.

Connectivity:

  • MIDI Interface for seamless integration with other devices
  • Main output for signal routing
  • Input for external signal processing, complete with adjustable gain
  • Assignable footswitch for extended control

Sound Generation: At its heart, this instrument utilizes DTE synthesis, acting as a rompler that harnesses spectral waveforms and subtractive synthesis across two oscillators per voice. Its internal ROM is packed with 128 synthetic waves and 365 drum/percussion samples. The sound system is divided into seven MIDI parts: three for synthesis and four for drums, summing up to a 28-voice polyphony.

Envelope Shaping: Two ADSR envelopes are available for shaping sounds, designated for VCA and VCF modulation.

Modulation: It includes a syncable LFO with adjustable depth for dynamic sound modulation.

Filtering Capabilities: Features digital filters with 24dB and 12dB slopes, including high-pass and low-pass options with resonance and saturation/overdrive for rich tonal shaping.

Additional Features:

  • Two independent effects processors cater to reverb, delay, chorus, and more, with an "Over Blast" feature for global sound contouring.
  • A specialized vocoder offers 16 programmable presets, including standard, robotic, and frequency-shifted effects, among others.

Sequencing and Arpeggiation:

  • A versatile 16-pattern arpeggiator and a 7-track sequencer support both tap tempo and external MIDI sync, with options for real-time and step sequencing.
  • The fully programmable arpeggiator includes 16 presets, offering polyphonic patterns, gate, and chord trigger functions, with nine storage slots for custom arpeggios.

Memory Storage:

  • Up to 384 patches (288 presets, 96 user-defined), 16 vocoder patches, and 20 percussion kits, powered by a single lithium battery (CR 2025) for memory retention. A factory reset can be initiated by holding down the WRITE key while toggling the power switch.
